Eduroam is a location independent wireless network, allowing mobility between participants wireless infrastructure with seamless federated user authentication and enforcement of local security policy.

eduroam is deployed across over more than half of Australian universities and at CSIRO, all connect to the AARNet network, more recently participating universities have led deployments at hospitals to enable their medical researchers to gain eduroam network access whilst training, teaching or collaborating on medical research.
